Unitrans has an exciting EXPAT opportunity as a Technical Manager that will be responsible for the Mozambique region. He/She will ensure that projects are completed within the time and cost limit as well as to the agreed specifications. Responsible for co-ordinating the different groups involved in the project. Ensures detailed engineering layout is carried out in an economically efficient way. Reports progress of project on a monthly basis. Establishes and maintains relationships with clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ability to research and study industry and related topics (environmental scanning).
• Expenditure Control.
• Appropriate corrective action regarding cost exceeding budget is timeously taken.
• Compile and review annual budget.
• Monitor all Divisional workshop operations.
• Vehicles are inspected after servicing and repairs.
• Quality standards are maintained.
• Vehicles are test driven after a service or a repair.
• Necessary arrangements are made when a vehicle accident or incident occur.
• All legal requirements are complied with.
• Stock checks are done randomly and signed.
• Close contact with suppliers of stock is maintained to ensure quality and service.
• Tyre maintenance standards are maintained, and spot checks are done.
• Weekly service schedules are completed.
• Fleet disposal and purchases.
• Documents are checked for accuracy and the correct completion.
• Service board is updated daily.
• Monthly reports are submitted timeously, according to the prescribed format.

Minimum Requirements

• Required qualification: Degree up to NQF level 8.
• Years of experience: Up to 4 years in a similar role.
