The mission of WHO Health System -Health Information Programme (The Programme) is to : i) promote the use of and adapt global standards, framework, tools, and methodologies for improving availability, quality and analysis of health data; ii)strengthen national capacities in planning and M&E working with Government and Health partners; iii) help countries to timely detect outbreaks and emergencies.
With excellent skills in health informatics and in data management and analytics, and in collaboration with the other clusters of the WHO Country Office, WHO Regional Office for Africa, the Ministry of Health and health partners, the incumbent provides technical support for generation, collection, analysis and synthesis, generation of health information and knowledge and their communication and use for policy and decision making.The specific duties include provision of technical assistance for:
