Provide Mozambique tax advice on ExxonMobil’s operations;
Monitor and analyze changes in Mozambique tax legislation which impact ExxonMobil’s business and implement any relevant tax changes;
Represent ExxonMobil at industry and joint venture meetings involving taxation of the business in Mozambique;
Provide tax and strategic advice related to ExxonMobil’s tax audits;
Provide tax advice to tax compliance group, including reviewing calculation of taxes to assure compliance with Mozambique tax rules;
Provide Mozambique tax guidance for transfer pricing calculation related to ExxonMobil’s business;
Provide tax support to ExxonMobil’s business in Mozambique in the issuance of invoices;
Review ExxonMobil’s contracts from the Mozambique tax perspective ensuring that the tax planning is implemented and tax exposure is minimized;
Review the economics of the ExxonMobil’s projects to assure that Mozambique tax assumptions are correct;
Knowledge of the international tax treaty to avoid double taxation and tax exposures in the transactions involving ExxonMobil’s operations in Mozambique
Qualifications and experience
Lawyer degree with solid knowledge of Mozambique tax legislation;
Degree in Accounting preferred;
Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience;
Familiarly with all taxes that would impact ExxonMobil’s business;
Fluency or Advanced level of Proficiency in English.
