University graduate in Computer Science, MIS, or any IT related field; 1-year equivalent work experience pertaining to customer support, Server Administration, Storage Administration, IT infrastructure Installation and administration or Network Administration may be acceptable.
Maximum of 3 years’ experience in related field.
Good English and Portuguese.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet demanding deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and customer service skills.
Activities
Servers and Data Center management
Manage virtual and physical server environments, manage Active Directory, office 365, and workstation patching with SCCM.
Technical Support and Management of TEPMA1 cloud environment. Perform and test routine system backups and restorations.
Have familiarity with SQL server, Oracle, windows clustering, domain controller setup, data domain and group policy.
Ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices and IT Policies.
Manage the secured printing system, ensure maintenance, and encourage clients on company practices of green printing.
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on servers. Escalate incidents as necessary.
Manage the physical environment of the server racks including cable management, documentation, labeling, and configuration of KVM switching for console and remote access.
Manage a disaster recovery system through Data domain and ensure that the system is operating with no faults.
Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
Customer Support
Provide ITS customer support services for any TEPMA1 office in Mozambique. Must rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals to ensure that TEPMA1 and its remote locations are provided IT services that meet or exceed their needs.
Prepare written and verbal presentations and reports. Provide management with timely and accurate status reports and KPIs. Keep local assigned sites informed of upcoming activities.
Keep customer base informed of changes and issues with the IT environment. Work with other IT groups to stay current on changes, initiatives, issues, and experiences being seen across the enterprise.
Serve as a guardian of CMDB and ensure that information is entered accurately.
Participate in the preparation of the user’s satisfaction survey and related reporting & action plan in coordination with other IT staff members.
Context & Environment
Incumbent will be required to Travel to cover all other TEPMA1 locations when necessary.
Position covers multiple IT rooms, Servers, data Domain, backup systems and many data center equipment.
The incumbent will be part of a multi-dimensional team with experience in multiple fields offering opportunity for learning and growth.
