About the Role

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As a Superintendent Maintenance Casthouse, you will be responsible for managing maintenance resources (human, financial and non-financial) to achieve the plant section business objectives.
• You will report to the Maintenance Manager. You will be responsible to execute all activities associated with the Maintenance Superintendent role.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to

• Ensure that all your team members go home safe and well every day;
• Implement and support site-wide and corporate systems to meet agreed service delivery levels of fixed plant installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repairs;
• Monitor maintenance systems and performance measures and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods;
• Liaise with Maintenance Planning regarding work plans to allow adequate preparation time for task allocation;
• Ensure parts, consumables and expertise are available as scheduled to enable team leaders to allocate and supervise workflow;
• Maintain a formal management reporting system that incorporates performance statistics, any applicable statutory requirements and business improvement initiatives.

About you

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Significant experience providing Fixed Plant Maintenance Services to a large mineral processing operation;
• Several years working at a superintendent level, with significant experience leading a team in maintaining a large industrial plant;
• Demonstrated success at improving equipment availability and reliability through the use of maintenance management systems;
• Maintenance planning and service-delivery monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical; and Post-trade qualifications such as maintenance planning or reliability;
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
