Specialist: Software Developement Featured

Role purpose:

Vodacom Mozambique is looking for a dynamic, talented and results driven Developer for the new In-house development team. The incumbent is responsible for creating prototypes, design, develop, test and maintain applications modules created by the team of developers. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for providing software-related operations support, including managing level 2 and level 3 incident and problem management. The role is ideal for individuals with a start-up mind-set, problem solving skills and with a strong drive for continuous improvement and a non give up attitude. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team on innovative, challenging and complex technologies.

 Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Deliver customer experience improvements on the platform frontend and backend with inputs from admins, maintainers, users and vendors;
• Produce detailed specifications and write program codes;
• Version control using Git, CVS, SVN or other & Maintain tidiness of codebase and architecture. Keep technical debt in check;
• Optimize of the application for maximum speed and scalability;
• Build Reusable Code and Libraries, based on best practices, for future use and adherence to Vodafone DXL Framework and CSM Functions.

• Solution readiness within the agreed timelines;
• Cycle Time;
• Number of Errors at post implementation phase.
