Specialist: Radio Network Performance Full-Time

Role purpose:

Radio Planning, Performance and Optimization

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Conduct recurrent 2G/3G Performance improvement actions & Routine checks on traffic on the existing network and ensure that capacity expansions are planned in time; Maintain/Improve achieved KPIs and improve to Vodacom standards.
• Provide inputs to NMC regarding Performance faults in daily basis analysis and ensure that the intervention and maintenance activities carried out by contractors / service providers are within the parameters and standards set by VM.
• Manage NPS results per region in order to come up/suggest with optimization actions and or provide inputs to other teams (Planning, etc)
• Plan new 2G/3G sites, Sectorization and capacity requirements & RF re-designs.  Considering spectrum efficiency, Hierarchical cell design in Maputo, Rural 3G Expansion, Pilot Pollution, Antenna Systems, etc…
• Investigate and implement new technical and/or commercial solutions to improve network performance, customer experience and competitiveness.
• Routine checks on traffic on the existing access network and ensure that capacity expansions are planned in time;
• Conduct regular audits on access network configuration parameters, ensuring performance indicators stability and overall user experience and following VDF Group directives;
• Provide Support to New Sites Rollout: ensuring good performance and proper integration and follow up to Acceptance Procedures;
•  Ensure network quality, coverage & revenue objectives are met.

Key performance indicators:

• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team and have good communication & negotiation skills;
• Autonomy to identify, motivate, plan and implement radio access solutions /projects;
• Autonomy to identify, troubleshooting and propose effective solutions for KPI Improvements & customer related matters – radio related QoS complaints.
