Job Description

For a marine works project in Mozambique, we’re looking for Site Superintendents to reinforce the execution team. Your main tasks are:

• Responsible for management, development and planning of one of the construction sites;
• Install and organize the construction (logistics, materials, people);
• Direct all aspects of the day-to-day execution of the project and monitor and coordinate work performed by superintendents and workmen;
• Lead, coach and manage several skilled and experienced site execution staff;
• Direct work sequencing to expedite project delivery and to minimize disruption of ongoing operations;
• Planning the resources;
• Implement and oversee the ISO & VCA norms;
• Select, audit and supervise subcontractors;
• Maintain regular contact with the customers or their representatives;
• Attend and lead important site meetings;
• You report directly to the Construction Manager or Project Director on the progress and output of your own teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering in construction;
• Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience within the international construction business;
• Fluent in English, Portuguese is an advantage;
• You are willing to live in a camp.
