Senior Recruitment Consultant Full-Time

Established in Mozambique since 2013, Global Edge is an international recruitment agency specialising in technical personnel for Oil & Gas and large infrastructure projects. We were one of the first international agencies to have a local presence in Maputo and we also have operating branches in Pemba and Vilanculos.

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Recruitment Consultant has arisen within the Global Edge’s young and dynamic recruitment team. We are hiring ambitious and driven individuals to support the exceptional growth we are currently experiencing.

Profile

• Mozambican National;
• 3 to 5 years of recruitment experience;
• Working knowledge of a Recruitment or CRM software;
• Proficient user of LinkedIn;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Fluency in Portuguese and English;
• Time management and organizational skills;
• Proactive and with ambition and determination to succeed;
• Confidence and self-motivation;
• Ability to lead and motivate others;

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and comprehend requirements of technical/professional job orders;
• Develop search strategies according to the specifics of each job;
• Post jobs on company website, print media, and social media as needed and other platforms as needed;
• Source and search candidates by using company database, social media, professional associations, education institutions and other available platforms as needed;
• Prescreen candidates/applications to assess their suitability, interest and availability for job openings;
• Conduct in-person and phone interviews with candidates to evaluate their technical qualifications and experience for assignments;
• Performing candidates reference checks;
• Following up on the recruitment process status, acting as a point of contact to candidates;
• Use candidate reference checks to attract additional candidates;
• Network through industry contacts, association memberships and social media;
• Build professional relationships with clients, candidates and staff;
• Maintain and update the internal candidate database;
• Expand candidate pool through cold and warm calling;
• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices;
• Guiding and directing more junior member of staff;
• Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”;
• Reporting on current and forecasted activity;
• Identify new sales leads / potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business and needs;
• Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships to pitch our recruitment and mobilization services;
• Partner with the BD Team to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients.

Notes:

Networking is critical in this position and there may be a requirement to travel to conferences, business meetings, and industry events. Business trips around the country or even internationally are an occasional necessity.
