Senior Operations Coordinator, Welltest Full-Time

Expro Group are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Coordinator, Welltest to join the Well Testing & Commissioning team based in Inhambane.

Overall Purpose of the Job

The Well Test Coordinator is responsible for the effective management of all Well Test operations being conducted for the client from Mozambique.  The   role of the Well Test Operations Coordinator is to ensure operations are conducted safely, as per standard operating procedures, QHSE Procedures and in line with fiscal guidelines.  In conjunction with individual Operations Supervisors, monitor and report on levels of client satisfaction and implement rectification strategies and plans where necessary.

Principal Accountabilities

• To work in a safe, responsible and cost effective manner, in full compliance with the Company’s safety and quality management systems;
• To ensure that a high quality service is offered to the client by means of monitoring measures to ensure good performance is maintained and areas for improvement are identified;
• Effective personnel planning to ensure that the client operations are run & supported with the right level of experience;
• Continually review and recommend organisational changes to optimise working practices monitor and develop the operational Teams to ensure individual objectives and potential are realized, through an effective timely appraisal process;
• To interview and recruit operational personnel and to motivate, train and develop staff to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its objectives, without harm to personnel or the environment;
• To liaise with the Group Competence and Training department to identify the training requirements and plan for the most effective training regime for new and existing Welltest personnel;
• To keep under review and recommend organisational changes to optimise working practises and staff career development with particular attention being paid to the development of National staff in order to meet the requirements of the Nationalisation plan;
• To maintain active participation in improving the quality and HSE management system and bring to the attention of senior management any HSE issues that requires their attention;
• To prepare and get approval for the monthly cost trackers, ensuring accuracy is maintained at all times;
• To ensure that month end financial reports and operational statistics are delivered to the Operations Manager;
• As & when required attend client meetings to discuss all activity related to offshore & onshore operations;
• Ensure that all incidents are properly recorded and reported and that an investigation is carried out to establish and rectify root causes;
• Take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to people or the environment arising from the work activity;
• To ensure that employees, contractors and visitors are aware of relevant HSE procedures;
• Establishing that all equipment, plant and substances used are suitable for the task are kept in good working condition; this includes the regular maintenance and servicing of equipment, this will be done in close liaison with the Operations Support Engineer.

Job Context and Main Activities

• To coordinate all aspects of the client’s Well test operations in a professional manner, ensuring that customer expectations are satisfactorily met and the best interest of the client and Expro are maintained;
• Compliance with Expro’s policies, standards and procedures to deliver a safe and quality service;
• Adherence to the expectations set out in the Accountabilities and Responsibilities for safety
• Liaise and interaction with clients to maintain open and healthy relations;
• During your time off you are expected to remain informed of the daily activities in country. This can be done through reading emails at reasonable intervals (you are not expected to respond to such);
• When on seat  keep your back to back informed of mission critical events that have occurred. It is also critical that you and your back to back do a proper handover with comprehensive notes covering the entire period of your absence.

Decision making Authority/Level of Supervision Required

• Prioritises own workload. Day to day decisions based on experience and in accordance with company procedures and policies;
• Working closely with Well test Manager on operational issues & planning.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of Expro Welltest products and services;
• 7+ years technical experience preferable within product line including wellsite/field experience;
• Understanding of Mozambique markets and all of offshore operations;
• High degree of interpersonal skills;
• Leadership skills;
• Good communication and organisational skills;
• Financial competence;
• Quality and safety systems competence.

Competencies

• Demonstrate the ability of being able to handle the interpersonal sensitivity of a multinational workforce;
• Basic understanding of the financial processes required for managing a cost effective business.
