We are currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Counsel for Eni Mozambique to be responsible for monitoring and advising on all legal and statutory matters, including, but not limited to, commercial contracts, procurement contracts and agreements. The Senior Legal Counsel is also required to ensure that the company complies with all statutory and corporate governance practices and guidelines across multiple jurisdictions.
The Key Responsibilities are:
Draft a wide variety of legal documents, agreements, and memoranda of understanding;
Support the company’s Procurement Department, in particular, prior and during tender processes;
Support the Company’s Procurement Department during the negotiations meetings, internal meetings and alignment with bidders;
Provide advice on corporate legal issues, regulatory matters, confidentiality and intellectual property matters;
Ensure the development and monitoring of service level agreements on service delivery by third parties;
Contribute to the resolution of contractual claims and disputes;
Advise on general legal compliance;
Draw-up the Company’s procedures and internal instructions relevant to legal matters;
Assist the Legal Manager in keeping records at the Company’s secretariat.

Requirements
Degree in law is mandatory;
Master degree in law (LL.M.) in an UK or an US university is an advantage;
Minimum of five years’ experience in similar roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Previous experience with procurement contracts is required;
Past experience in foreign companies (or joint ventures with foreign partners) is preferable.
