Senior Internal Control Manager Full-Time

Save the Children International (SCI), a non-profit humanitarian organization with its child welfare focus, is recruiting candidates for the vacancy below: (1) Senior Internal Control Manager (1) – Job reference MPT- SC 002/19.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting;
• Qualifications in CPA, CA and ACCA or equivalent.

Experience and sklls

Essential

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, if possible in NGOs;
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Portuguese;
• Experience in fraud awareness and investigative management cases;
• High and unquestionable level of integrity and ethics;
• Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and work experience in complex financial systems;
• Experienced in the preparation of financial and management accounts (knowledge of the work of charitable organizations and IFRS is preferred);
• Independent change agent and a strong people manager;
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in forming good business partnerships;
• An autonomous change agent and a strong people manager;

• Proactive and able to meet short deadlines, working independently is essential;
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving and financial modeling;
• Availability to travel frequently to all programs in the country.

Preferential

• Experience with the financial and management systems of Save the Children (AMS and Agresso);
• Significant experience in fraud prevention and corruption;
• Significant experience in auditing management.
