Security Intelligence Analyst Full-Time

Our client, an international Oil and Gas Operating Company are looking for a local Security Intelligence Analyst to be based in Pemba / Maputo, Mozambique. The role is offered with a long-term contract, Residential or Rotational basis (28 day on / 28 day off), allowances and negotiable monthly salary

Job Overview:

As Security Intelligence Analyst you’ll be part of the Intelligence and Security team, producing timely intelligence analysis and reports critical to the Company’s understanding of the security environment in Mozambique.

Responsibilities:

• Provide all-source data and analytic products and threat assessments in support of ongoing operations and emerging situations;
• Provide support to key business initiatives by researching, developing and disseminating threat-related intelligence briefs and analysis;
• Research, review, evaluate, and integrate Open Source data to contribute to and/or produce draft and finished Open Source assessments;
• Establish and maintain liaison with security intelligence counterparts in the energy industry.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Ideally have a degree in International Relations, Regional Security Studies or related subject;
• Extensive experience working within an intelligence, diplomatic, military, or law enforcement organization or in an intelligence-related private sector job in Mozambique;
• Proven track record in providing intelligence analysis and briefings;
• Experience in utilizing a wide range of Open Source intelligence methods and sources;
• Intelligence-related experience or other relevant familiarity with Mozambique would be preferable; ability to network with local/government connections would be an advantage.
