Under the direct supervision of the P4 WASH specialist, the international UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Support the develop innovative approaches to facilitate climbing the sanitation ladder for households that combines sanitation marketing and affordability;
Support piloting of innovative approaches on WASh at schools and institutions;
Support the development of norms and standards for WASH at schools and intitutions;
Support the development partnerships and maintan administration;
Analyse qualitative and quantitative information related to sanitation and hygiene programming;
Assist in the development of plans, budgets and bill of quantities, reporting and reviews;
Assist in the development of Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks and tools;
Assist in case documentation and other type of knowledge;
Undertake field monitoring;
Document the pivote role of volunteers in sanitation promotion and advocate for the mainstreaming of sanitation in all volunteer positions.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent
Education – Additional Comments:
Minimum of bachelors in WASH related domains of: sociology, engineering, environment, public health or related fields, masters degree preferred.
Required experience: 24 Months
Experience remark:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the domains of; WASH, engineering, rural development, behavioural change and project managmend;
Excellent computer skills in word, excel and powerpoint. GIS applications preferred;
Excellent writing skills in English, Portuguese or Spanish skills is an assest;
