client, an Oil & Gas company, is seeking an Engineering and Interface Manager to join their team in Afungi. The RV Engineering and Interface Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring that RV construction is executed as per the approved design and construction license. His/her duties also include the compilation of handover dossiers from AMA1 to GOM for all Resettlement Village infrastructure and ensuring a smooth transition from construction completion to occupancy through the implementation of the MoU in respect to transition management of the RV.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of Ten (10) years’ experience in Civil Construction, and handover infrastructure to Government of Mozambique and also in large scale projects;
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Field;
Experience in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and / or other relevant business information system;
Able to lead a big team with a strategic view to results;
Able to summarize, organize and provide regular report of activities and progress to direct supervisor;
Fluent oral and written knowledge of Portuguese and English required.
Primary Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)
Review and approve Resettlement Village engineering drawings as per approved design and specifications, applicable regulations, HSE requirements, Project commitments under the Resettlement Plan, internal and external stakeholders’ recommendations including Government and Local Communities;
Serve as Government of Mozambique (GOM) liaison for resettlement construction as required and serve as accountable person for executing the Resettlement Village infrastructure handover from AMA1 to the GOM;
Review Construction changes requested by the contractor and advise acceptability to Senior management;
Ensure alignment and coordination of all Resettlement Village construction activities with land access, community relations and stakeholder engagement;
Lead the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government and AMA1 and MRV in respect to transition management of the Resettlement Village;
Coordinate with Grievance management on all grievances related to the Resettlement Village and follow-up as required.
