Quantitative Research Coordinator Part Time

DAI is seeking an individual to fulfill the role of the Quantitative Research Coordinator (RC) for the RFZ Research Activity. The RC will support the Team Leader by providing in-country management support and technical support related to quantitative research on climate smart agriculture, resilience, food security, NRM or other related topics in Mozambique. The RC will conduct quality assurance of data collection, under guidance of the Team Leader and contribute to developing technical approach and writing of Design Report and Baseline Report. The RC will report to a Team Leader and the Director from Social Impact (one of DAI’s core partners on this Activity) and will be supported by a Research Manager and sectoral experts if needed. The project is in its beginning stages and is projected to last through December 2024. The RC will be required to support the training of the data collection firm in June 2024.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader to design and implement the RFZ Research Activity.
• Provide technical and managerial inputs to development and finalization of project deliverables, including the design report with a detailed work plan, and draft and final baseline report.
• Provide in-country management support for quantitative data collection.
• Conduct quality assurance of quantitative data collection under the guidance of the Team Leader.
• Ensure quality assurance and timeliness of all deliverables, including adherence to DAI’s quality assurance standards.
• Attend the training of the data collection firm (June).

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in agriculture, food security, resilience, natural resource management, or other related fields;
• Demonstrated experience managing and monitoring quantitative research and data collection in Mozambique,
• Experience working with USAID preferred, ideally for an evaluation, research, or assessment;
• Experience in Mozambique required;
• Fluency in English and Portuguese required.
