The Strengthening Local Governance Program in Mozambique (LOGOS) is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), implemented by DAI Global, and aims to contribute to the objectives of the Government of Mozambique in deepening the decentralization of power at the provincial, district and municipal levels with a view to improving service provision and promoting local development. It is an integrated and intersectoral program, whose overall objective is to strengthen the effectiveness, transparency, and accountability of local governments (Provinces, Districts and Municipalities) in the provision of public services.
The Public Financial Management Specialist will be based in the Municipality of Pemba, with regular trips to the Municipalities of Mocímboa da Praia, Montepuez and Chiure. He/she will report to the Local Governance Specialist. He/she will work closely with the Provincial Manager, and technical teams includingMonitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Communication This is a locally hired position and candidates should be available to be based in Pemba.
