PSI is recruiting a Provincial Project Manager (m/f), to be based in Nampula, Mozambique.
Duties
Lead the project team based in Nampula city and coordinate with the field implementation team in the districts, assuming full responsibility for the project’s overall success and performance;
Manage the adaptive learning agenda at provincial level: documenting performance of interventions, suggesting improvements and leading programmatic improvement sprints;
Ensure coordination and communication with projects’s implementation partner at provincial level;
Supports the Provincial Representative in project-related engagement with provincial and district level authorities;
Develop feasible workplans for validation, assign tasks to different team members and track agreed timelines;
Assess through field visits if activities are being followed and can provide capacity building to field teams to improve quality implementation and supervision;
Work with external consultants in the review and assessment of programme approaches and tools using an Human Centered Design;
Facilitate field visits from external consultants, learning partner and donors;
Identify problems in the implementation, anticipates risks and seeks guidance on how to mitigate and overcome problems;
Analyse project performance based on available dashboards and monthly data pulses.
Requisites
Undergraduate academic degree in a science-related discipline;
At least 3 years of work experience within the field of development;
Work experience with NGOs on SRH/FP or youth focused projects is preferred;
Relevant experience in staff, office and asset management;
Good communication skills verbal and in writing;
Experience and knowledge in Human Centered Design;
Demonstrated experience in project and administrative support activities;
Knowledge in administrative procedures of the government and NGOs;
Good computer skills in common word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel);
Familiar with MIS systems and processes (especially DHIS2);
Excellent English and Portuguese language skills. Interviews will be conducted in English.
