ELIM is looking to welcome an Project Officer to join our Research and Evaluation Unit. The Research and Evaluation Unit is responsible for the design of research projects across various areas/sectors, project implementation and management of projects activities from contracting to report delivery. Our technical experts engage in office and field-based activities, designing and rolling out complex surveys for qualitative and quantitative data collection, utilising statistical to analyse large data sets, and interpret these to generate insightful reports on findings and recommendations.
The Project Officer is a senior staff position reporting to the Research and Evaluation Manager. S/He should possess superior analytical abilities and knowledge of research techniques, excellent research and report-writing skills, high concentration levels, good task management, and superior problem solving and critical thinking skills. S/He will conduct research on a variety of socio-economic sectors including but not limited to Agriculture and Rural Development, Education, Finance, Health and Nutrition. The Project Officer must demonstrate a strong ability to work in a diverse team and keep up with fast-paced deliverables.
The Project Officer will work closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager in the implementation of her/his tasks. The responsibilities of this function include but are not limited to the following:
