Plant Technical Manager Full-Time

About the role / Purpose of the job

The Plant Technical Manager is accountable for the management of a multi-discipline resource team in supporting the CPF Operations in achieving agreed Objectives.

Functional outputs

Plant support provide day-to-day technical assistance to production department and laboratory

• Effective execution of equipment Maintenance and Works Management Process;
• Ensure quality of maintenance, including effective planning and management of plant shutdowns;
• Comply with pressure equipment regulations, making sure that inspection schedule are adhered to;
• Ensure Plant reliability;
• Ensure Pipeline integrity;
• Ensure effective management of the Process Laboratory;
• Analyze process Chemicals and intermediary or final products by ensuring that analytical methods and standards are met and accurate;
• Developing effective solutions and execution of Minor Improvement Projects;
• Optimize and Improve Plant performance;
• Implement optimized solutions on budget and on time;
• Manage adherence to agreed standards and operational parameters;
• Create and maintain Document management system for SPT;
• Assist SHE and Environmental department with providing plant data and writing of Environmental Reports;
• PSI (process safety information) – Custodian, and responsible for keeping latest up to date P&ID’s, PFD’s, data sheets, underground drawings for flow lines and processing plant;
• PHA (process hazard analyses) – involved to supply necessary information and input into PHA analysis during annual/bi-annual audits.

Job requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance -, technical – and engineering management;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in optimization of operations, manufacturing processes and projects.

Qualifications:

• BSc. Degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or B Tech Degree is an advantage;

Key competencies required

Track record in project feasibility, front-end engineering and design, detailed engineering design and project execution in the oil & gas industry;

• Track record in the development of conceptual design for E&P Development Projects, including the identification and definition of the phased investment program required to fully exploit an oil or gas resource;
• Experienced with working as a team together with other upstream oil & gas disciplines such as exploration, geology, petroleum engineering, reservoir engineering and drilling;
• An understanding of the contributions and roles & responsibilities made by the other upstream oil & gas disciplines such as exploration, geology, petroleum engineering, reservoir engineering and drilling;
• Experience in optimization of upstream operations and projects of oil and gas production facilities;
• Knowledge of engineering codes and standards relevant to the E&P industry;
• Experience and track record of the management of engineering service providers (consultancies and engineering contractors);
• Track record in cost, schedule and quality control, including CAPEX and OPEX estimation;
• Willingness to make international business trips and the ability to work overseas for extended periods;
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
