Manager – Factory Accounts Full-Time

Overview

We are looking for an accounting manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accounting manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.

Principal Responsibilities/Key Result Areas.

• Lead the budgeting/forecasting;
• Cost Accounting: review plant expenses, accurate inventory costing, review of manufacturing order reports for costing and investigate variances;
• Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor;
• Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost;
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs;
• Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures;
• Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports and estimates of new and proposed product costs;
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services;
• Assisting in month end closes and maintaining standards;
• Leads the annual physical inventories and reconciles finished goods inventories;
• Establishment of a cycle count program and monitor and report results;
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts;
• Serves as the primary liaison between plant operations and Corporate Finance;
• Establishes and maintains local site internal controls in concert with Corporate direction.

Education & Experience

• 4 year degree in Accounting or a related business from a recognized university experience in a manufacturing environment;
• MBA Finance/ICWA;
• Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization is critical;
• Plant Accounting experience big plus, strong cost accounting skills;
• Ability to lead a team and work well with cross functional teams;
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
