Operational Integrity & Quality Country Coordinator Full-Time

Primary Responsibilites

• Managing the Country OI Top Page.
• Implementing Global OI and Local regulatory programs to assure compliance.
• Linking the Regional OI Strategy to the country and site activities assuring alignment.
• Ensure OI training is aligned with OIMS and local regulatory requirements and is conducted at site level.
• Ensure operational implementation of Global OIMS and local regulatory requirements through use of global assessment tools and auditing/assurance processes.
• Ensure effective integration of acquisitions regarding OI compliance through the mergers and acquisition process.
• Ensure reporting and management of OI related.

Specific Responsibilites

• Identify, plan, recommend and complete OI programs following the Global OI strategy and applicable business strategies.
• Align work with Region/ Sub-Regional and Site OI Coordinators and MD.
• Create and develop a regional OI organization to implement the Regional OI strategy throughout the country.
• Develop competency of OI personnel through best practice sharing and implementation of applicable best practices from internal and external sources.
• Implement and assess the operational status of regional policies and country specific standards to assure compliance.
• Ensure audits are conducted to assess implementation of OI Programs and legal compliance with country specific standards regarding Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Provide OI support to sites and functions (e.g. Purchasing) during projects; (e.g. during site expansions, new construction, new equipment purchases, new processes etc.).
• Ensure timely reporting of OI relevant items including incidents, near misses, hazards and KPIs within the country using Crystal.
• Ensure country implementation of SGS wide OI activities including Safe Start, Stellar, Safety Month, Quarterly Campaigns, Best Practice Sharing, SGS Rules for Life, Stop Work Authority, BBS etc. and strategic planning
  Provide Health, Safety and Environmental technical guidance to businesses and and country personnel to assure compliance with OIMS and Country regulatory requirements at the site level.
• Additional tasks can be assigned to the job holder to support the overall OI strategy.
• Translates Strategy into Actions – Effectively communicates strategy and action plans to others. Agrees on SMART targets/KPIs/objectives that are linked to the strategy. Reviews progress against the defined objectives.

Operational Integrity

• Always adopt safe behaviour, exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees, in accordance

• Ensuring that team members comply with relevant procedures and work instructions.

  Investigate incidents and prepare relevant reports.
• Participate in safety talks/discussions with team members.
• Ensure that all waste produced by SGS is disposed of in an environmentally sustainable manner.
• Optimize resources to protect the environment.
• Ensure that stop work authority is applied by you and your team when deemed necessary.
• Ensure that the company’s Quality Assurance Program is implemented and maintained.
• Maintain the Managing Director well and immediate informed on all aspects that have any direct or indirect
  impact on Environment, Health and Safety including the accidents, incidents or any security concerns.
• Participate in the completion of Management Action Report Card responsibilities, which measures leading
  HSE indicators to proactively manage Health & Safety.
• Ensure Quality in managing client complaints, data, personnel performance, turnaround and equipment).
• Meeting external and internal Client Satisfaction from a service, quality and turnaround perspective.

Profile – Education and Techinical

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an HSE related field.
• Minimum 3-Year tertiary qualification or equivalent. (e.g. Diploma in Safety/ environmental.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in HSE.
• NEBOSH ou SAMTRAC preferred.
• HSE certification preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in project management and strategic business planning.
• Knowledge and experience in finance and budget cycles.

Required Skills – Experience and Competence

• Computer literancy.
• 3 years minimum experience in Quality Assurance.
• 3 years minimum Health; Safety and Environmental Management experience.
• 3 years minimum Internal and External Auditor experience.
• 10 years operational experience within industry.
• Knowledge and experience in project management and strategic business planning.
• Knowledge and experience in finance and budget cycles.
• Technical knowledge and experience in related field and in using efficient management methods and tools.
• Ability to present studies in a compelling manner to local authorities.
• Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
