Onboarding Coordinator Full-Time

Job Summary:

This position will be part of the MZLNG HR Team in Maputo and will report to the MZLNG In-Country HR Manager. The MZLNG Onboarding Coordinator will be responsible for delivering the project-specific onboarding program designed for Anadarko’s Mozambique LNG (MZLNG) Project.  In this capacity, this role will deploy the MZLNG onboarding program in-country (for Maputo and Afungi) and according to the MZLNG Onboarding Strategy and will ensure the approach is consistent with Anadarko’s Global Onboarding Strategy through collaboration with the MZLNG HR Team based in the United States, Global Onboarding Representative, HR counterparts, and MZLNG clients (domestically and internationally).

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of human resources experience in a generalist, recruiting, onboarding, or project capacity. Necessary skills as follows:

• Acute sense of timing to include meeting and/or exceeding delivery expectations; appropriate sense of urgency;
• Excellent customer service skills and presence to build successful project relationships;
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, recruiters, executives, new hires / new team members;
• Organized with ability to manage multiple priorities;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Proficient computer skills with applications such as MS Office Suite, SAP, Taleo, SuccessFactors;
• Respect and manage confidential information;
• Prior onboarding experience strongly preferred; experience in facilitation and/or training preferred;
• Oil and gas industry experience preferred;
• Large-scale/Major capital project experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as primary point of contact for onboarding activities on behalf of MZLNG Project;
• Supports the day-to-day execution of MZLNG Onboarding Strategy:
• Updates and maintains Mozambique-specific onboarding content;
• Supports the implementation of the MZLNG Onboarding Strategy (2018);
• Develops, updates and maintains necessary email templates, checklists, manager guides, training materials and other related communications utilized in the MZLNG project onboarding process;
• Communicates with Hiring Managers, Recruiters and Recruiting Coordinators on project specific onboarding logistics and metrics;
• Facilitates project orientation for new project team members (including non-employees, transfers, secondees, etc.);
• Procures appropriate employment/new team member documents, including the E-verify process;
• Distributes new team member survey to MZLNG personnel and monitors feedback to make recommended improvements;
• Implements Offboarding Strategy when team members leave the project;

Education Requirements:

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

Travel Requirements:

• Travel may be required up to 25% to 30 %.
