Multiple Technical Specialists Full-Time

We are seeking technical specialists in the following areas: HIV/AIDS treatment, viral load and lab linkages, strategic information systems, quality of care improvement, health systems strengthening, community engagement, health financing, private sector engagement, government support and engagement, social and behavior change, monitoring and evaluation, information systems, capacity development, finance and operations, and human resources management.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide technical input on project implementation to achieve health targets and goals
• Ensure that all project assistance is technically sound and appropriate for the local context
• Write and contribute to reports and other deliverables
• Liaise with the Mozambique government, Ministry of Health, stakeholders, and public and private sector counterparts
• Collaboratively implement a strategic, long-term programmatic vision

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred
• Minimum eight to ten years of development experience designing, implementing, and managing USAID or other donor-funded development programs
• Minimum three years of experience in Sub-Saharan Africa required; experience in Mozambique preferred
• Strong ability and desire to work collaboratively with the Mozambique government, Ministry of Health, international donors, and local partners to achieve program targets
• Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate technologies
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection and management, and knowledge sharing
• Demonstrated interest in building the capacity of local partners
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and English
