IMS (International Media Support) is hiring a Mozambique Media Programme – Programme Manager.

IMS (International Media Support) works to support media and journalism in national development and advancing rights of society to access information. Established in 2001, the organisation has since worked with hundreds of local and international partners to support independent journalism, freedom of expression and the safety of journalists. IMS’ goal is to have public interest media that is relevant to and reaches audiences of all groups of society so that they can discuss, share and act on this content, and to have media and civic groups and organisations – especially women’s and minority organisations – collaborate to bring about this change. In addition, IMS supports the development of inclusive workspaces, free from discrimination and harassment, through inclusive and transformative policies and mechanisms.
The Programme Manager will manage the IMS Mozambique programme, which aims to contribute to an independent, resilient, and pluralistic media reaching urban and rural audiences with relevant and reliable public interest information. The Programme Manager will be responsible for programme cycle management of the programme. You will manage programme planning and implementation incl. operations, administration, finances, logistics, and MEL, and liaise directly with other programme staff. The Programme Manager will work directly with local partners and consultants to develop and monitor programme scopes of work, budgets, and timelines. You are expected to work as a team lead with limited supervision. This position will be based in Maputo with travel to project areas outside of Maputo, or as may be required.
