The Social Performance Monitoring & Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (MERL) Officers are responsible for monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning as it pertains to the Mozambique LNG programs with a social interface; (ii) compliance with relevant IFC E&S standards and (iii) attainment and maintenance of a social license to operate/project enabling environment.
The M&E Officers will support the Social Performance Population and Development; Community Health & Safety and Security & Resettlement M&E Coordinator in monitoring and evaluating the Project’s social performance and compliance with the relevant IFC Standards.
Oral and Written Proficiency in Portuguese and English is required.
Knowledge of one of the following languages: Emakwe (Macua), Makonde, Swahili or Kimwani is required.
Willingness to travel regionally or internationally as required.
Willingness to travel by road to remote areas; to Cabo Delgado, specifically Palma District.
