Director Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Anticipated Mozambique Improved Maternal, Newborn, Child Health, Immunization and Nutrition Activity

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) for an anticipated USAID-funded integrated health project in Mozambique.
FHI 360 seeks a Director MEL for an anticipated integrated health project focused on improving maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), immunization, nutrition, and WASH services at facility- and community level. The Director MEL will report directly to the Chief of Party (COP) and work in tandem with other technical and operational staff to support efficient and effective project implementation. The activity will work with local partners and health system counterparts to strengthen health services and systems to effectively manage resources and deliver high-impact health interventions.
The Director MEL will provide leadership and technical guidance to the program team on all monitoring, evaluation, and learning-related issues. Under the direction of the Chief of Party and in close collaboration with the technical leads, the Director MEL will be responsible for the design, implementation and quality of all monitoring, evaluation, and learning components of the project. This includes leading and supervising the activity learning agenda, data management systems, data quality, data dissemination and use as well as any technical assistance and capacity development of program staff and health system staff with the aim to improve quality of routine and programmatic data. They will provide strategic direction for a robust learning agenda for continuous learning, collaboration, and adaptation during the life of the project. They will serve as the primary point of contact for establishing and managing an evaluation and monitoring system responsive to USAID reporting and learning requirements.
Availability of position is contingent upon award to FHI 360. Selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval.
