Cyclone Idai killed hundreds of people and left widespread flooding in Mozambique Currently, Solidar is implementing a comprehensive emergency and recovery response with thematic focus on WASH and Food Security/Livelihood. Moreover, Solidar Suisse has been implementing development projects in the affected provinces for many years, aiming to promote a sustainable, inclusive development process based on social justice, guaranteeing democratic and human rights and enabling political participation of the population.
The MEAL Officer is entrusted to set up a comprehensive MEAL framework for the Idai response and ensure its application in line with the project document. He/she introduces MEAL tools to project staff, e.g. for data collection, accountability, etc. and provides support whenever required. He/she ensures that data are systematically collected, correctly stored, analyzed and used for planning, learning and reporting purposes. He/she is in charge of the adherence and application of the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) in the project by all staff. He/she will provide guidance and assistance to the entire staff of Solidar Suisse in Mozambique in all MEAL related matters.
The MEAL Officer works under the lead of the Country Coordinator and closely collaborates and coordinates with the Program Coordinator and the Project Managers.
We look for a candidate who is able to start ASAP, with contract duration of 6 months, renewable.
