Mechanical Engineer – Management and Maintenance (Mining) Full-Time

Responsibilities

Management of equipment and vehicles, establishing the needs for their acquisition, maintenance and scrapping, managing the drivers and operators and their respective selection and training. Overseeing Equipment Maintenance activities, identifying needs, allocating resources and managing maintenance operations and ensuring management control and reporting of the area in line with superior guidelines and established procedures, in order to guarantee a response to the maintenance needs of the different areas within the desired deadlines and to ensure the efficiency of operations.

Job Requirements and Competencies Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in mining equipment management and maintenance (open pit);
• Leadership and multidisciplinary team management skills;
• Problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Planning and organisational skills;
• Experience in budget management and cost control;
• High sense of initiative and proactivity;
• Rigour and reliability;
• Proficiency in maintenance software, namely SAP (MM, PM or FICO modules);
• Proficiency in English;
• Availability to work on a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) basis.
