Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer;
Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain signature approval prior to commencing work;
Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate;
Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist;
Describe vehicle’s condition to customer and answer any follow-up questions;
File appropriate documentation on each repair;
Provide reconditioning of the vehicle’s electrical equipment, alignment of the steering and adjustment of the headlamps, sending, as the case may be, the damaged parts to specialized workshops, to complement the maintenance of the vehicle;
Perform simple tasks on the electrical installations and in the vehicle frame
Specialize in the recovery and maintenance of a particular type of engine or in a part of the vehicle, such as suspension, steering or brake, and be designated according to the specialization;
Qualifications
Professional technical training in Mechanic;
Proven practical experience in formal or informal institutions;
Responsability and commitement to goals;
Sensitivity and predisposition to strict compliance with health and safety measures at work;
