Job description

• Recruiting, supervising and training maintenance technicians.
• Keep equipment maintained and safety to meet all production on the mine.
• insure safe operating procedures and monitor employee compliance.
• Supervise or participate in the repair and maintenance of all mine machinery and equipment.
• Plan, assign, and support supervise maintenance work.
• Lead the maintenance staff by coaching, development, communication, change management, delegating duties, and holding staff accountable.
• Create a team-oriented environment which motivates staff and keeps employees engaged in their jobs.
• Assume responsibility for the preventative maintenance program for the facility and equipment.
• Assist in the training of new employees to ensure safety and satisfactory performance on the equipment.
• Work collaboratively with other teams, such as the production team, to ensure all goals are met.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent.
• 5 years of management and experience on mine.
• Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems on mine.
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical works of production machinery is required; must have industrial troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, understand, and implement schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese (spoken and written)
