M-Pesa Payment Services Full-Time

Role purpose:

Development of go to market strategies for the M-Pesa payment/ merchant products.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

• Provide market insights for product development & enhancements;
• Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to design and execute the go to market strategy for all payment products;
• Monitor product performance and adjust the strategy accordingly;
• Policy and business process formulation review & to suit business needs;
• Development of a cashless distribution model and strategy for M-Pesa merchants;
• Adequate price point, segmentation, merchant and customer experience  recommendations based on market insights;
• Competitor analysis for benchmarking and product positioning;
• Fraud management.

Key performance indicators:

• 30 Day active merchants;
• Merchant Revenue;
• Merchant quality standards;
• Cashless distribution model delivery;
• Distribution partners support & accountability.

Must have technical/ professional qualifications:

• University Degree or equivalent qualification;
• At least 5 years’ experience in payments channels management;
• Strong project management skills;
• Training in sales management, customer relationship management, business administration and team building courses, will be advantageous;
• Mobile Money/ Banking industry (advantage);
• Strong project management and reporting skills;
• Strong Planning & Internal Networking Skills;
• Strong Commercial deal structuring skills.
