Logistics Coordinator Assistant Full-Time

Solidarités International launches the internal and external recruitment of Logistics Coordinator Assistant for Pemba.

Presentation of the Organization

Solidarités International is a French humanitarian organization which provides aid and assistance to victims of war or natural disaster. For over 42 years the association has focused on meeting three vital needs – water, food and shelter. Currently present in Mozambique since 2019, SI carries out emergency/ post-emergency programs in WASH sector in Cabo Delgado region.

Description of the job

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Coordinator, he/she assures the smooth running of material operations and the management of the association’s assets, whilst applying the association’s procurement policy and rules for managing its assets, and ensuring the security of material resources.

• He/She is responsible for the coordination’s vehicle fleet: he/she optimizes its use, supervises maintenance and monitors its consumption.
• He/she supervises the arrival, storage, security and shipping of food or non-food items, goods, tools and materials used by SI.
• He/she organizes the schedule and supervises the drivers and guards.
• The Logistics Coordinator Assistant supports the Logistics Coordinator for the implementation and supervision of all mission logistics activities.
• He/she will in particular give full support to the completion and organization of the archiving of logistical documents.
• He ensures the capitalization of all information’s linked to sales process and shipment (price lists and supplier files, customs clearance…).
• He will ensure basic temporary replacement of the Logistics Coordinator or Logistics Manager in case of absence.

Profile Foreseen

• Studies: Bachelor’s Degree/ Master degree, preferably in Logistic.
• Experience: At least 1 year experience in logistics, preferably with INGOs.
• Soft Skills: Good at organization, flexibility, multitasking and priority management.
• Computer Skills: Proficient with all pack office, especially Excel.
• Languages: English mandatory.
