An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Drive for a light motor vehicle to deliver products or materials to and from specified destinations. Performs related administrative tasks and may collect payment for goods or delivery charges. Off-loading of goods at customers. Duties & Responsibilities
- To fetch and deliver packages or merchandise as and when required by the company.
- To assist the operation by moving identified parcels.
- To respond to general requirements from the Depots Operations whenever there is a need for a light vehicle driver.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10.
- Code 08 drivers with endorsements.
- Must have 3 years experience in articulated driving in a similar environment.
- Advanced driving training (advantageous).
- Must have a clean criminal record.
- Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects.
- Maximum vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Driver actions into weather/road/traffic conditions.
- Function and Location of vehicle components.
- Procedure to release cargo from airlines.
- Must be prepared to work weekends and on public holidays.
