Life Commercial and Technical Director Full-Time

Hello… an exciting new opportunity has just become available in our HINT, Mozambique area. We are looking to recruita Life Commercial and Technical Director.

Summary of Role and Context:

To manage and oversee all Direct and Partner distribution channels for Hollard Life in Mozambique namely Brokers, Digital, Mobile, Call Centre, Branches, Banks, Brokers, Retail Distributors, Agents and any other approved Business Partnerships as well as to identify new distribution and sales opportunities in the market. This role also manages or oversees the Technical Underwriting, Reinsurance, Policy Administration and Policy Compliance for Hollard Life in Mozambique.

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• Minimum 5 years related long-term insurance experience;
• Fluency in English and Portuguese is required with relevant experience in Anglophone and Lusophone Life environment;
• Business Development and Sales Management track record;
• A proven ability in establishing and growing sales is essential.

Educational Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12/or NQF level 4 equivalent;
• A 3 year Degree in a relevant field of study;
• A qualification or relevant experience in a Financial/Risk Management field will be an advantage.
