Purpose of Job
Responsible for contributing to the provision of sound legal services, with the required quality and in due time in support of the company’s business and operations in Mozambique, as well as support with identification of legal risks, enabling performance of the company’s activities in an efficient manner and according to the applicable principles.
Work under the supervision and orientation of the Senior Manager Legal Mozambique.
Key Accountabilities
Provide legal counselling and advise on a variety of issues and matters related to SASOL operations in country, including (but not limited to):
- Support all SASOL departments, including (but not limited to) Supply Chain and SHE (Safety, Health and Environment);
- Support with ensuring fulfilment of applicable legislation by the company and all business units and subsidiaries operating in Mozambique;
- Support with all licensing and permits required by the company to conduct its petroleum operations;
- Perform legal research and advise the company as required;
- Prepare and issue written legal opinions;
- Prepare and review contracts as requested and required for the company activities (in both the English and Portuguese).
Formal Education
- University Bachelors Degree in Law.

- Experience: 6+ relevant years.
