Laboratory Supervisor Full-Time

Our client is an international engineering group. They have established a branch in Nacala to serve the Oil & Gas Industries of the area. They require the services of a chemistry graduate or chemical engineer to manage as a Laboratory and QC Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Management and analytical supervisory expertise
• Define and implement processes, procedures and supporting systems for QA/QC laboratory management
• Implement the analytical methods necessary for QA/QC tests of Fuel
• Maintain and improve the standard operating procedures
• Manage staff to achieve the required level of quality of testing
• Supervise laboratory technician activities
• Maintain staff expertise level by training
• Maintain records of performance of the testing instruments
• Organize proficiency tests of the individual QA/QC labs
• Organize preventive maintenance program
• Ensure that all policies concerning Health, Safety and Environmental protection, are respected and implemented

Requirements

• Degree level in the field of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related field
• Experience in petroleum, petrochemical, and/ or energy industry on analytical laboratory management
• Experience and knowledge of Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometry
• Sound understanding of XRF equipment operation and maintenance

Salary

• Package negotiable to to 100 500 Meticais per month
