Kitchen Technician Full-Time

We are looking for a skilled Kitchen Technician to be based in Matola, Mozambican with strong electrical and mechanical experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial kitchen equipment, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with safety standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair commercial kitchen appliances (e.g., ovens, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, tilting pans).
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdown and operational downtime.
• Calibrate and test kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to reduce disruptions during service hours.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults related to kitchen equipment and installations.
• Install wiring, lighting, and protection devices in accordance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections of electrical panels, switches, and wiring.
• Maintain detailed logs of electrical repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Technical diploma or certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a Kitchen Technician and/or Electrician.
• Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Bilingual communication skills in Portuguese and English.
• A strong safety-oriented mindset and commitment to compliance.
