IT Auditor Full-Time

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You’ll audit our clients’ technology to provide assurance that security and controls are in place. This will include infrastructure, cloud and applications. You’ll have a strong understanding of the role that digital plays in the modern audit, and how technology is deployed and controlled within the business. You’ll gain an understanding of end-to-end processes and how business applications are used, controlled and optimised across our clients in banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance and consumer markets.

Responsibilities

The candidate should have performed some of the following external/internal IT audit, cyber security audit, data analysis or risk assurance assignments with senior or supervisory responsibility, including:

• Reviewing IT controls within a general computer control environment, such as system security, change control and system operations.
• Reviewing project management controls and solution design.
• Reviewing the design of internal controls and the effectiveness of manual and automated controls.
• Ability to explain what goes into an audit plan and how to go about gathering evidence through interviews and validation.
• Ability to follow up on review notes and assist in the clearance of findings, including report writing.
• Ability to build relationships and understand opportunities.
• Ability to read situations and modify behavior to build quality, diverse relationships.
• Ability to understand risk assurance services.
• Proactively assist in the management of multiple clients and teams.
• Training, coaching and managing junior staff.
• Building effective working relationships directly with clients.
• Contributing to the development of your own and your team’s technical acumen.

Required skills

• A Bachelor’s degree (Business Informatics) or a Master’s degree (Information Systems) in one of the following areas of study: Information Management and Control, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, IT – Security or a related field.
• Experience of working effectively as part of a team, building good working relationships with colleagues and client staff at all levels.
• Experience of evaluating technology to support financial and operational systems and related business processes.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• External auditing experience, including evaluation of controls over financial and/or IT/operational processes.
• Good report writing skills.
• Experience of working in complex environments.

Preferred skills

• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification or equivalent an added advantage.
• Experience of Alteryx, ACL, Power BI, or other data analysis software.
• Experience of coaching junior staff.
• Industry & Big4 experience is an added advantage.
• Project management and analytical skills.

Minimum years experience required

• Minimum of 3 years of progressively more responsible work experience in Information Technology, Information Technology General Controls, Cyber Security,  Business Processes, IT Governance, Architecture and BI/Analytics.
