The United Nations World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.
As part of WFP’s Country Strategic Plan (CSP) in Mozambique for 2017-2021, a Mid-Term Review (MTR) needs to be completed in 2019. The MTR focuses on results and implementation of the CSP to inform operational decision-making and to support learning by the country office for programme improvement. The consultant is reponsible for completing the MTR within 3-4 months.
By the time the MTR is completed, the Country Office (CO) is expected to be facing the first of a series of evaluations and audits related to the Level-3 emergency following cyclone Idai. The intention is for the consultant to support the CO M&E Officer in dealing with these audits and evaluations.
WFP Mozambique Country Office is seeking expressions of interest from professional humanitarian consultants wishing to be considered to support the CO Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in dealing with these audits and evaluations above mentioned. Deployment will be to Maputo and Field locations within the Country.
