Instrumentation & Control Supervisor Full-Time

An established Mining company is seeking an Instrumentation & Control Supervisor based in the North East of Mozambique.

The incumbent would be responsible for all preventative maintenance, the optimization and improvement of process controls via hardware and software upgrades as well as independently designing and implementing small C&I projects.

Responsibilities:

• Implement safety awareness and reinforce safe working practices through regular safety meetings, on-the-job safety training and modeling the relevant safety behavior;
• Monitor progress against the C & I planned or set projects to identify deviations and re-allocate resources where required;
• Calibrating and repairing instruments and associated equipment;
• Working with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processes;
• Maintaining and backing up the PLC system;
• Maintaining and backing up the SCADA system;
• Dredge Maintenance;
• Dredge Faultfinding;
• Balance, manage and control resources across different disciplines through resource plans executed in line with the constraints of annual planning cycles, operational specifications, and organizational resource plans;
• Budget by weighing up costs, risks and potential returns on expenditure related to workforce, materials, equipment, infrastructure, and technology.

Requirements:

• 3 Year Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Instrumentation;
• At least 10 years’ experience in Control & Instruments;
• Siemens PLC and WinCC;
• Allen-Bradley PLC and FactoryView;
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance;
• Knowledge of electrical equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance;
• Knowledge of Mining, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective mining of products;
• Knowledge of sand mining is beneficial;
• Knowledge of DeviceNet and Profibus Networks;
• Hydraulic Systems.

• Up to USD8000.00 Gross Per Month (Based on experience, skillset, and qualifications);
