The Import – Export Specialist Intern supports import/export process efficiency and ensures that the movement of goods in and out is done in compliance with customs regulations while aiming to improve on-time delivery of goods.

Responsibilities

• Review import and export documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Track accuracy of documentation and verify compliance.
• Update import and export systems as needed or locally defined in the assigned country.
• Liaise with customs and local authorities for daily operational issues.
• Ensuring all import and export duty tariff codes are correctly applied to incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Support compliance with customs requirements.
• Support regulatory self-audits for compliance to the latest customs regulations.
• Keep customs documents in proper filing, maintenance and retention systems.
• Build customs knowledge for local organizations in the country.

Exposures & Experiences

• Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply chain, Procurement or Business Administration.
• Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Knowledge of logistics rules, regulations and processes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
