PHCC is recruiting for one of its clients, an HR Manager to be based in Maputo:
Purpose of the Position:
To proactively identify people requirements in line with business needs; to design and implement a robust HR people strategy that meets the business and people needs for a productive and high performing, engaged workforce. To facilitate
change and drive company culture, ensuring that employees are aligned to country goals and objectives. To collaborate with the Country MD, business unit executives and Head of HR to provide inputs, monitor effectiveness and help implement HR policies and programmes.
Critical outputs of this role include: Driving business transformation; Driving the Employee Engagement; Creating a high performing culture; Building HR capability; Delivering strategies for talent management, succession planning and pipelining of critical and scarce skills.
Main Responsibilities:
Work with the Country MD, business unit heads and Head of HR to design
and implement HR policies and programs relevant to country needs;
Work with country MD to drive and implement business transformation by
ensuring organizational design is according to best practice, people are placed in the right roles, training provided where required and that change is managed properly through all levels in the organization;
Build an integrated HR function to deliver quality HR services to country leaders and employees;
Manage internal policies and legislation to ensure comply with government
regulations and country specific law;
Build and Maintain key stakeholder relationships with HR Leadership, Business Leadership, wider HR community and Employees.
Qualifications and Experience
Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management/Psychology or similar qualification;
A minimum of 8-10 years HR experience as a generalist
English speaking advantageous;
Strong analytical skills;
Strong coaching, conflict resolution, relationship and team building skills
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles;
An ability to demonstrate high personal impact and influence to build a strong, trusted advisor relationship with business leaders;
Strong knowledge of country specific regulations, policies and labour legislation.
Technical Competencies
Business partnering experience;
Extensive understanding of Organisational Effectiveness principles and practices;
Proven track record of design and implementation of business transformation;
Experience in working within a matrix organisation;
Regulatory Governance and Compliance (Labour; Employee Relations and Transformation);
Talent Management processes and systems;
Performance Management processes and systems HR generalist skill.
