Minimum of 3 years relevant Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) experience required, preferably in Oil & Gas;
Proficiency in both Portuguese and English;
Willingness to travel within Mozambique and internationally;
Practical experience of implementing contractor HSSE management programs, development and management of strategic HSSE performance interventions;
Experience in dealing with operational issues and supporting the delivery of projects/operations with different risk profiles, cultures and varying strengths of workforce;
Mozambican nationality.
Responsibilities:
1. Contractor Management
Implement and update HSE procedures and processes for contractor’s selection, evaluation and monitoring;
Ensure contract holders and contractors are managing HSSE risks in compliance with the agreed HSE Plan and HSSE requirements associated with the contract;
Drive sustained performance in HSSE management systems in both pre- and post-award efforts and on an on-going basis.
2. Data reporting
Identify and engage stakeholders for HSE data input
Collect and analysis HSE data from identified stakeholders produce and disseminate accurate reports
Develop/update HSE data management processes, procedures and performance metrics and advise management on trends
3. Insight Supporting Lead
Ensure support is given to project staff on reporting and logging incidents into the system as well as comply with all program and policies regarding Incident management;
Develop and update Incident management procedures, (for internal and external reporting) in alignment with APC requirements;
Maintain an up to date action tracker with actions resulting from incidents, audits, inspections, safety observations.
4. Training
Identify and update HSE training needs;
Coordinate training sessions;
Establish an effective HSE induction process throughout the sites;
Provide Training on insight to all AMA1 staff and direct contractors as required, develop and distribute Weekly HSE topic.
5. Safety Culture promotion
Establish and coordinate periodic HSE meetings across the organization;
Schedule and lead collation of toolbox talks and HSE awareness;
