The UNICEF Health and Nutrition Specialist (Emergency) will ensure leadership, coordination, planning, strategy development and advocacy on behalf of UNICEF programming within the Health and Nutrition Clusters. The incumbent will be based in Beira (Sofala province) to ensure proper implementation and monitoring of the UNICEF Emergency Health and Nutrition response and conduct periodic missions to Cabo Delgado to support the team there. She/he will be an active member of the health and nutrition cluster at a provincial and central level, by participating in the meetings (provincial level) or by providing regular updates and meaningful analyses of the field situation to the CHN Section (central level).

The Health and Nutrition Specialist (Emergency) will be supervised by and report directly to Head of Field Office, with technical supervision by the Chief, Health & Nutrition.
