Remuneration: 210.000 – 243.000 Mtn depending on experience (Gross Monthly Income) and 13th Month paid in December (prorata depending on the starting date

According to the 2022 Humanitarian Response Plan, 1.5 million people are now in need of humanitarian assistance and protection in Mozambique. Cabo Delgado province, already one of the most vulnerable and poverty-stricken provinces of Mozambique, has been affected since late 2017 by a low-intensity armed conflict, gaining into intensity since 2021 with attacks perpetrated by non-state armed groups (NSAG) against civilians. There are currently 869,603 internally displaced people in Cabo Delgado. Action contre la Faim is implementing a Nutrition and Health, Food Security and Livelihoods and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene integrated portfolio in several districts of Cabo Delgado province,. The organization is also one of the Rapid Response Mechanism actors.
Action contre la Faim has been working in Mozambique between 1991 and 2001, and has resumed its presence in 2019 via local actors ‘strengthening and in 2021 via direct interventions. ACF’s mission in Mozambique, currently focusing on Cabo Delgado province, is in expansion, with ongoing humanitarian and early recovery portfolio. The field team is composed of 105 people, and to grow in coming months. Our assistance currently focuses on the province of Cabo Delgado, with a field office in Pemba, a field office in Mueda and a sub-office in Macomia. The coordination team is currently based in Pemba, with a 2023 mid-term objective to shift it to Maputo, the capital city.
For now, the team you will need to support technically is composed of a Nutrition and Health Programme Manager in addition to implementing partners.
Pemba is renowned as being a prime tourist destination for water sport and diving enthusiasts as a coral reef lies close to the shore. If you love fish and seafood (octopus, squid, shrimp, fish, lobster, etc), Pemba will then be your culinary refuge. There are plenty of nice restaurants on the beach where you can it Mozambican dishes or international ones (Italian, French, Indian, Japanese etc.). At 30min car, you will find amazing beaches where to relax and even spend the night (several lodges). There is currently no curfew in Pemba and very low security restrictions. There are 2 guest-houses, 1 for the CD and visitors, and 1 compound where Action contre la Faim rents 5 GH of 2 bedrooms with individual bathrooms, with a shared swimming-pool.
