The Manager, Humanitarian & Emergency Affairs (HEA) provides strategic leadership in World Vision’s work in the humanitarian field, specifically in crisis response, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and contribute to key sector areas, influencing host governments and donors in key policy areas. Additionally, the role is responsible for raising funds through strong donor relations. In the event of humanitarian emergency, the HEA Manager will lead the National Disaster Management Team in the development of a response strategy and plan, coordinating action between different departments in support of timely, accountable and effective response. This implies a fast paced role where decisions have to be made quickly in the knowledge that they will have direct impact on the number of children and communities who will be assisted in humanitarian emergency contexts.
