Gender Research Consultant Temporary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Gender Research Consultant to join our client’s team to support Consultancy processes and deliverables, focusing on data collection and analysis. Coordinate with the Social Inclusion Expert and Research Assistant, ensuring a coherent approach to data collection and analysis. This a 7 months contract.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research on various aspects of gender-related issues, such as gender inequality, gender-based violence, gender roles, and discrimination.
• Collect and analyze data from diverse sources, including surveys, interviews, academic literature, and government reports.
• Employ both qualitative and quantitative research methods to generate insightful findings.
• Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in gender research and relevant fields.
• Prepare clear and concise research reports, policy briefs, and publications based on research findings.
• Communicate research results to a diverse audience, including policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public.
• Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling content for dissemination.
• Manage and oversee research projects related to gender studies, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and execute research projects.
• Identify potential funding opportunities and assist in proposal development.
• Engage with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, community organizations, and academic institutions.
• Foster partnerships and collaborations to further the impact of gender research initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and webinars on gender-related research topics.
• Support the professional development of junior researchers and interns

Knowledge and Experience

• University degree in social sciences field.
• 5 years experience conducting gender assessments.
• 3 years experience conducting research.
• Portuguese and English proficiency.
• Experience working in Mozambique.
• Experience integrating gender or social inclusion components in the transport sector desired.
