Gender and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Advisor Full-Time

Role overview

The role is to support and advise target partners (local education providers and community leaders) in integrating and implementing inclusive education practices for people with disabilities and ensuring accessibility of quality education for all girls at age of 15 – 19 of , who have been excluded from the Education System for different reasons.
Include issues on Gender and SRHR in the activities and assure protection against early marriages, early pregnancies and sexual abuse.

Skills, qualifications and experience

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in public health / social science / sociology / developmental studies with at least 5 years’ experience in social inclusion and gender issues especially focussed on SRH and education for women and girls.
Fluency in English plus Portuguese/French/Spanish/Italian.
Have significant experience in conducting SEGA studies. wide range of experience in adolescent inclusive reproductive health programming and their education, be recognized leader in this field with the ability to be strategic, while still being able to manage the day-to-day management of capacity building activities

Master’s strongly preferred
Requires strong leadership and communication skills, energetic, passionate, patient, proactive and self-motivated.

Allowance

As a VSO volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full time basis. VSO will cover your travel, vaccinations, accommodation, and medical insurance costs, along with a local living allowance which will be paid in local currency. This allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home. You will also receive some financial support to contribute to your on-going expenses at home.
