Description
Vodacom is hiring a Specialist: Policy Control Service Engineer.
Role purpose:
- Enable accurate data charging input and deliver data access charging innovation
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
- Achieve agreed service uptime for PCRF and PCEF Functions;
- Ensure compliance to governance policies and procedures including but not limited to logical access reviews, system patching and updates, granting approved system access, perform and deliver accurate system checklists etc;
- Design and implement scalable charging policies that provide optimal customer experience in Vodacom products and services;
- Open, follow up and track SLA compliance on support tickets with vendor;
- Scope business requirements into technical deliverables with input from internal and external stakeholders
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Basic Linux knowledge;
- Knowledge in Oracle or SQL (Structured Query Language);
- Knowledge of Shell and Perl programming Advantage);
- Proven Cisco networking knowledge;
- Mobile Broadband knowledge (advantage).
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Degree in computer science or similar;
- Linux or Cisco Certification.
